Nematodes

Plant parasitic nematodes are one of the biggest problems in the sports turf industry. It is estimated that 90% of all sports pitches with sand based construction are experiencing significant damage. Nematodes can destroy root systems in turf leaving the surface thin, unstable and unplayable.Signs of damage can be obvious as in the photos but can easily be mistaken for other turf problems. They can also include shallow rooting/loss of root mass and the turf can seem unresponsive to fertilisers.

We have seen excellent results in suppressing plant parasitic nematodes all our data has been supplied by Dr Colin Fleming at the AFBI. Please feel free to contact me to discuss any problems you feel you may have.
